Title: Business Analyst III
Location: Cary, NC
Duration: 10 months

Job Description: ***Must work full time/onsite in the Cary, NC office. working remotely is not an option

***this is strictly consultant (will not go temp to perm) likely to get extended into 2019 - working as part of the Client / Subsidiary separation project.

Very minimal travel, if at all , is expected 5 to 10 % at most

Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge. May make recommendations for buy versus build decision. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 10+ years of relevant technical or business work experience.

The resource will be responsible for pulling requirements from the Actuarial Business and translating them into specifications for the Technical Lead(s). Additionally they will work closely with the Business and IT teams to get drive the migration of processes into production. Knowledge of SQL and Oracle is required and prior experience with annuity product is a plus.

***Lead BSA needed for project within Corporate Systems IT supporting Actuarial, Risk and Treasury.

***Must Haves ****

IT acument and solid understanding of gathering specs from the Business and translating to clear and concise terms understood by the Technical Leads
ability to complete UAT testing when needed

Must have excellent communication skills as person will be working closely with the Business stakeholders and VP level at times.

prior experience with SQL and Oracle is a Nice to Have (Client is Oracle based)
**Knowledge of Annuity projects is a def. plus (since this is within Corporate Systems IT supporting Actuarial, Risk and Treasury.)
