POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Analyst serves as a liaison between business teams and Technology, helping ensure enterprise applications and business processes are aligned, documented, and continuously improved.

This role will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and divisional teams to understand current processes, identify gaps, define requirements, support application changes, and help drive projects through testing, implementation, and adoption.

The successful candidate will be process-oriented, curious, and comfortable working directly with end users and business leaders to determine whether a problem is caused by process, system configuration, training, data, or a need for new functionality.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

This role serves as a member of the INW Technology Team and initially reports to the Senior Vice President of Information Technology.

LOCATION:

This position may work remotely from any location; however, placement at an INW division is strongly preferred. The Company is headquartered in the Salt Lake City, UT area and includes six operating divisions that span a footprint exceeding 1,500,000 sq. ft. both domestically and internationally. Candidates must have the capability to work from remote location(s) and independently, as needed. Travel requirements dependent on business needs; primarily domestic travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties, as required.

Business Process & Requirements

  • Work with business stakeholders to document current-state processes, requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and standardize business processes across
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for ERP, enterprise applications, development teams, and vendors.
  • Help distinguish between process issues, system limitations, configuration needs, training gaps, and true development requirements.
  • Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and decisions.

Application & Project Support

  • Support ERP, LIMS, QMS, SaaS, and other enterprise application
  • Assist with upgrades, migrations, implementations, integrations, and application improvement
  • Coordinate functional testing, user acceptance testing, issue tracking, and go-live
  • Help maintain application documentation, process maps, support procedures, and business ownership information.
  • Partner with the Director of Enterprise Applications to support application roadmaps, prioritization, and risk remediation.

Business Partnership & Adoption

  • Build strong working relationships with divisional and functional
  • Spend time understanding how business processes are performed in practice, including within manufacturing and operational environments.
  • Support user training, communication, and adoption of new processes and system
  • Help ensure new solutions are used consistently and deliver the intended business

Data & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with validating reporting requirements, data definitions, and business
  • Identify process or data-quality issues that affect application performance or reporting
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, root-cause investigation, and measurement of outcomes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of decisions, requirements, processes, and system

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role supporting business applications and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and
  • Experience working with ERP or other enterprise business
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business
  • Strong documentation, organization, problem-solving, and facilitation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support complex cross-functional

PPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, inventory, finance, or related operational
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Deacom, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP
  • Experience with LIMS, QMS, or other regulated business
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, integrations, or data
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or business-process standardization
  • Experience working across multiple locations or business

SUCCESS PROFILE

The ideal candidate is highly curious, process-oriented, and comfortable getting into the details of how work is actually performed. They should be able to ask thoughtful questions, identify root causes, challenge inefficient processes constructively, and translate business needs into clear and actionable system requirements.

Success in this role will be measured by stronger process documentation, clearer requirements, smoother application implementations, improved user adoption, reduced rework, and better alignment between business processes and enterprise systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit; use hands, talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May regularly work within office and warehouse environments. Occasionally subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required, and all personnel protective equipment is required. Occasionally subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, powders, dust and other particles.
