About this job

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of duties for the registration and scheduling of patients for medical procedures, tests and associated ancillary services.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Computer experience to include prior EMR and Microsoft Office.
  • Typing skills of approximately 45 - 50 words a minute
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, third party payer billing and managed care requirements.
