Clinic Medical Assistant

Job Overview
The Certified Medical Assistant supports the JS Family Health Main Clinic by providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician. This role assists with patient exams, procedures, documentation, medications, immunizations, patient education, and maintaining a smooth flow throughout the clinic.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
• Current CMA, RMA, CCMA, or other approved Medical Assistant certification
• CPR certification required
• Previous medical office experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record
• Coordinate referrals, tests, and procedures
• Provide education to patients and families
• Respond to patient phone calls and follow-up needs
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and clean exam rooms
• Follow all clinic, HIPAA, safety, and regulatory requirements
