DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
Looking for a Technical Operations/Release Engineer to manage, maintain and expand our Amazon Web Service (AWS) based systems and the supporting processes, procedures and tools.
This person will be a key contributor to both the stability and expansion of internally and externally facing products and services.
Typical Day:

• Triage issues
• Work alongside software engineers to build and maintain developer operation processes and procedures
• Oversee code deployment pipelines
• Oversee our AWS infrastructure using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Assist in manual quality assurance activities
• Assist in the creation of automated testing processes
• • As a member of the engineering team, contribute to planning and execution efforts across our applications as needed
  • Having your code reviewed and participate in code reviews, standups, retros, other SCRUM activities

Required Skills:

• • A Bachelors in CS or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years professional development experience using Amazon Web Services
  • At least 2 years professional experience managing Windows and Linux based servers
  • At least 2 years professional experience using Python, BASH or similar scripting language
  • Strong familiarity with multi-tier web applications
  • Bright, motivated, passionate engineers who want to work with the same and are open-minded about applying the best tool for the job and solving real problems for real users

Bonus but not Required:

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Packer, etc.
• Experience with code deployment tools, i.e. Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
• Experience managing Postgres or MySQL databases
• Experience within a HIPAA bound organization
