Finance Analyst

This position is accountable for the daily, weekly, and monthly preparation and analysis of reports for management’s use in fiscal decision making. The Financial Analyst is also accountable for processing and reporting financial information in an accurate and timely manner and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets.

This position is primarily responsible for: supervising, monitoring, and analyzing daily variances and inventory accuracy, per unit, Flowthru reconciliation, productivity planning and partnership with leadership team to achieve productivity metrics, revenue tracking and reporting, advising on route planning, preparing plan to achieve revenue per mile and total profit before taxes and working with transportation team to accomplish the plan.

Secondarily, this position serves as the backup for the office administrator, which may include additional duties as assigned relating to expense processing (including vendor set up and add), review of general ledger, and vendor point of contact, Continuous Improvement, CTS payroll, route planning, LMS involvement, and general partnership and support of operations . This position will also be expected to perform additional ad-hoc duties relating to P&L reconciliation, budget preparation, forecasting, expense and capital tracking.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least one year of Accounting experience
• Microsoft Excel
• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future

Preferred:

• 2 or more years of Accounting experience.
• Accounting experience in a plant environment/manufacturing or distribution industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle and Business Objects.
• Experience preparing an annual budget.
• Willingness to relocate if considered for promotional opportunities.

Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITY

• Record and report daily production activity timely and accurately.
• Prepare and disperse daily TAKT reports to Management and Regional Teams.
• Review, reconcile all inventory variances (Shrink, Net Defectives) and put in place course correcting action to prevent future variances.
• Own all purchase orders, writing, receiving, and closing as appropriate.
• Review and correct all reports to ensure accurate reporting of financial obligations (Hold report, select stock status, shipping discrepancy, open receiver).
• Input new vendor request forms and term change request forms.
• Manage and audit all vendor provided services for the site and report findings to the vendor as well as management.
• Oversee Oracle purchase order processing to ensure accuracy in the expense related purchasing process.
• Perform all month end close activities, including P&L Reconciliation, Manplan, Dashboard, general ledger review and reconciliation along with appropriate explanations along with plan for how to continue favorable trends and how to correct unfavorable trends.
• Perform P&L review for anomalies and in post close balance sheet reconciliations.
• Along with Finance Manager, develop the Annual Operating Budget.
• Analyze Flowthru costs, account reconciliations, transfer pricing and special projects.
• Analyze monthly P&L summaries for anomalies, investigate and report findings to management.
• Develop quarterly site, regional division, and corporate reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Supervise monthly physical inventories, reconcile variances and make necessary corrections to perpetual and book inventories.
• Supervise cycle counts
• Provides analytical support for Operational Excellence cost savings projects, including Lean projects, Six Sigma, Capital Projects, Kaizen Events and 5S Projects

Travel Requirement: Up to 10%

This role is not remote/ hybrid and will report to Sherwin-Williams Aurora Distribution Service Center located at 21301 E 33rd Drive, Aurora, CO 80011.

This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
