FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Duties

• You will perform independent financial management analysis supporting all phases of budget formulation, justification, execution and financial operations for organizational programs and activities.
• You will develop and evaluate budget estimates and financial plans to ensure compliance with guidance from the Department of War (DoW) and Department of Navy (DON).
• You will analyze the financial impact of programmatic decisions, monitor obligations to identify risks or variances and develop solutions to ensure a clear audit.
• You will prepare analytical justifications and interpret complex budgetary policies to demonstrate regulatory compliance and support management review.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
