About This Role:

The Front Desk Representative / Patient Access Representative (PAR) serves as the initial point of contact for prospective and current patients at Evara Health. This position is crucial in facilitating a smooth and timely registration process, providing unparalleled customer service, collecting payments, and coordinating appointments to ensure efficient office operations and enhance the patient experience. The PAR helps patients navigate financial applications and options, ensuring access to necessary healthcare services.

What You'll Do:

• Patient Access & Customer Service
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing welcoming, individualized service and guiding patients through the registration process using the AIDET model.
  • Respond to patient inquiries in person and by phone, build trust with patients and caregivers, and promote Evara Health’s purpose-driven service culture.
• Registration & Insurance Verification
  • Complete pre-registration and registration, accurately documenting demographic, identification, financial, and insurance information in the EHR.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and precertification requirements; communicate coverage requirements and update patient records as needed
• Financial Counseling & Payments
  • Assist patients with Medicaid, Medicare, insurance affordability programs, financial applications, and payment options, including financial documentation and analysis.
  • Explain financial responsibilities, establish payment arrangements when appropriate, and collect point-of-service payments according to established procedures.
• Care Coordination & Telehealth Support
  • Coordinate with clinical staff and internal/external departments regarding changes in insurance or financial status, patient needs, and access-related concerns.
  • Support Telehealth services by confirming appointments, completing registration requirements, preparing patients for visits, and remaining available to assigned providers.
• Compliance, Operations & Community Support
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation while following HIPAA, Evara Health, HRSA, regulatory, accreditation, safety, risk management, and security requirements.
  • Support team meetings, outreach and education efforts, front desk standards, patient-centered medical home quality measures, and a clean, organized work environment.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Minimum (1) year of experience as Front Office in a healthcare setting, preferred
• Minimum (1) year of experience in customer service, preferred.
