Health System Specialist

About the Position: This position islocated at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, Texas.

Duties

• Coordinate daily administrative tasks with the Service Chief and keep all program files organized.
• Review administrative policies, identify needed updates, and recommend improvements for implementation.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify compliance issues and provide guidance on correcting deficiencies.
• Coordinate personnel actions such as recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Plan and assign work to employees, set priorities and schedules, and evaluate employee performance.
• Monitor healthcare processes, identify problems, and recommend ways to improve workflow and service quality.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
