IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)

Duties

• Provide for effective development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and modification of major finance and/or accounting automation information systems to meet user needs and systems requirements.
• Analyzes functional and technical requirements to determine avenues of development or modification.
• Participates in systems requirement reviews and prepares system change/programming specifications, specifies programming instructions to document the functional and technical requirements.
• Identifies alternative approaches to the design of systems and identifies how system modifications affect current systems.
• Prepares and executes tests for system or subsystem software validation. Reviews test results for effectiveness in meeting specifications and takes necessary corrective actions based on testing results.

• This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
