Learn how to market make and manage a trading book risk
Provide desk support by developing pricing, hedging and analysis tools
Shadow desk members in daily pricing requests and risk management tasks
Help the desk in daily tasks (risk reconciliation, P&L, booking trades)
Assist on a quantitative research project such as finding systematic trading strategies or improving risk models
Generate trade ideas. Monitor market evolutions. Enhance analytical tools (Python, VBA) to best identify parameter dislocations
Assist in drafting term sheets. Maintain and improve various data bases
Prepare regular market updates based on Citi’s research and traders’ commentary
Reach out to internal partners: DCM, sales, trading, banking, legal, Middle Office
Help with PowerPoint presentations and sales pitch material including trade ideas
Assist with producing written derivatives content (market comment, trade ideas) for clients (hedge funds, institutional)
Support optimization process for regular client Tasks: Post Trade Report, Weekly/Monthly Recap of Client activity
Focus on pre and post trade services (interacting with Origination, Valuation, Middle and Back Office departments)
Depending on the position, a solid understanding of option pricing theory is required; a prior experience in derivatives is a plus
You are currently enrolled in a university that can sign a mandatory Citi internship agreement which forms part of your graduation (Graduation Year 2025/2026) and a valid resident/work permit
You are able to begin in July and finish the internship in December (6 months)
You have a good understanding of finance and have an interest in Markets. Previous experience in Financial Markets would be advantageous
Ideally graduating with a Finance Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a Business or Engineering school
You have strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel
Knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Python is highly desirable)
You have excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail, a self-starter, who enjoys working as part of a team
You must be fluent in written and spoken English
Desire to develop a deep understanding of the financial industry
Intellectual curiosity and proactive approach to searching for new and creative ideas
Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
Commitment to personal growth and career development including mobility and flexibility. You also have a strong desire to learn, are proactive and build rapport and relationships in team environments

Citi is looking for intern analysts to join the Markets team in Paris. In Markets, we advise our clients on the best investment opportunities in the markets, including rates, equities, commodities, credit, futures, and FX and we buy, sell and structure their investments for them.
We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
We're committed to teaching you the ropes. The Markets intern analyst program runs for six months starting in July 2025. Working alongside our experienced professionals, incoming analysts will have the opportunity to actively participate and develop their skills in the above areas. At the end of your internship, successful analysts may be considered for a place on a full-time program.
