What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interpret the impact of technology trends on industry, customers, and markets to create potential future scenarios
- Drive research and analysis of technology trends and emerging shifts in worldwide markets
- Develop and maintain a close network of technical thought leaders
- Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities and develop solutions to their challenges
- Aid in the development and defense of intellectual property to enhance the employer's strategic focus
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree or higher in a technical field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of ten (10) years combined experience in product commercialization, new technology development, and/or research laboratory experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of technology and market scouting experience
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- PhD degree in science or engineering
- Experience in multiple scientific disciplines
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to summarize complex technologies for a non-technical audience
- Demonstrated expertise in communicating growth opportunities to an executive audience
- Experience hiring, training, and managing analyst teams
