      Job Posting Description:

      Under the general supervision of the District Manager, the successful candidate will assume complete responsibility and accountability for the key store functions such as customer service, sales & marketing, human resources management, inventory management, budgets, resource protection and facilities management. This will involve your dynamic leadership in the implementation of corporate programs.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      The successful candidate will have developed the knowledge, skills and ability to perform at the ‘A’ or ‘B’ Store Manager level, acquired through progressive experience as a Retail Manager in key areas such as Customer Service, Human Resources, Business Management, Inventory Management and Sales & Marketing. Strong leadership, team-building, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Additional areas for assessment will include an understanding of and exposure to social responsibility issues, facilities management, resource protection, health & safety, WSIB, workplace accommodation, environmental issues and workplace diversity. The successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of the internet/intranet and computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, web-based ordering and SPAR. Internal applicants must have successfully completed the appropriate level of Product and Service Knowledge prior to applying. Knowledge of job relevant policies and procedures in Administration, Store Operations, ISE and Resource Protection Manuals, as well as Store Circulars, is required. All new ‘A’ and ‘B’ Managers will be required to successfully complete related management training upon promotion. This may include sessions in supervision, leadership, performance management, employee relations and retail business management.

      French language requirements at the “oral advanced-minus” level required where applicable.
