      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Communicate with patients and providers via telephone to schedule specialty appointments accurately and courteously
      - Capture and verify patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR system
      - Schedule appointments in accordance with established guidelines, providing necessary information and instructions to patients
      - Monitor patient work queues to ensure timely claim filing and address registration or insurance-related issues
      - Collect copays and outstanding balances at the time of scheduling and partner with Financial Advocates when necessary

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma required
      - More than one (1) year of customer service, medical office, or call center experience required
      - Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
      - Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
      - Strong communication and customer service skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - NAHAM certificate (National Association of Healthcare Access Management) - CHAA preferred
      - Prior experience in a pediatric healthcare setting
      - Familiarity with insurance verification and medical billing processes
      - Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish
      - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle escalated issues
