What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and administer department budgets, accounts, and financial reports
- Review and approve purchasing transactions while ensuring compliance with university funding allocations
- Process internal and external invoices and reimbursement requests
- Coordinate with payroll representatives to ensure accurate onboarding and payroll distributions
- Assist with post-award grant reporting and reconciliation duties
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, business, or administrative support
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, including Workday
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Familiarity with accounting journal entries and financial transactions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Experience in meeting organization and multitasking
