What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure the integrity of financial data in compliance with federal, state, and local accounting standards
- Collaborate on initiatives and projects, performing special reviews, reports, and analyses
- Manage accounts payable, including entering vendor invoices and processing payments
- Support accounts receivable and cash management activities, including deposit preparation
- Assist with day-to-day fiscal operations, ensuring compliance with program budgets and regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Strong attention to detail and business acumen
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Two or more years of experience in an accounting or business analyst role
- Experience in nonprofit, workforce, or economic development sectors
- Expertise in grants management or fund-based accounting
- Familiarity with the Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT accounting system
