What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure accuracy
- Verify compliance with State Purchasing and Finance rules and regulations
- Manage vendor accounts and coordinate asset inventory management
- Reconcile financial statements and analyze data for accuracy
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Foundational understanding of accounting and fiscal management
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Vantage/FINET or similar tools
- Ability to learn and utilize accounting systems quickly
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proven experience in accounts payable principles and practices
- Knowledge of State laws and financial regulations
- Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis tools
- Experience with State Finance management tools, including Vantage/FINET
- Interest or experience in wildlife conservation or public service
