  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Oversee the preparation and generation of agency financial reports and manage operational accounting functions
  - Lead the accounts payable disbursement area, ensuring accuracy of invoices and related documentation
  - Act as a liaison between the employer and its vendors/customers, resolving inquiries and issues
  - Supervise and evaluate the professional and technical staff of the Disbursement Area - Accounts Payable
  - Prepare and review monthly federal and state grant billing, ensuring compliance with regulations
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field
  - Minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly responsible professional accounting or financial analysis experience
  - Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and governmental accounting standards
  - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute complex accounting tasks accurately
  - Experience in supervisory roles within an accounting or financial setting
  
  How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  - A master's degree in a relevant field or CPA certification is highly desirable
  - Five years of increasingly complex and responsible accounting experience, with three years in operational accounting management
  - Experience in Accounts Payable management and governmental fund accounting is preferred
  - Proven ability to serve as a functional lead for major accounting program areas
  - Five plus years of supervisory experience highly preferred
