What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise the Accounts Payable - Travel Team, ensuring accuracy and compliance in processing employee travel reimbursements
- Review complex or high-risk transactions for proper handling and documentation
- Provide leadership and staff development through training, performance evaluation, and coaching
- Support unit or team management to ensure continuity of operations
- Commit to exceptional customer service and ethical standards in line with the department's mission
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in office and administrative support work demonstrating knowledge of modern office practices
- Competency in applying independent decision-making in accordance with standard procedures
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
- Prior experience and/or education in accounting and operational management
- Proven ability to identify, enhance, and implement process improvements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a supervisory role within an accounting or finance environment
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and tools
- Familiarity with federal, state, and departmental compliance regulations
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
