      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Research root issues of claim denials and pursue proper appeal processes
      - Review account history for ongoing follow-up on unpaid accounts
      - Address incoming correspondence and respond promptly to ensure resolution
      - Contact insurance companies and patients/guarantors to obtain status of claims
      - Document claim issues and actions taken clearly in the billing system

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school graduate or GED certificate
      - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a physician billing or third-party payer environment
      - Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate insurance benefits and claims processes
      - Preferred experience with Epic/electronic billing systems
      - Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnosis, and procedure coding preferred

      - Previous experience in an academic healthcare setting
