- Be responsible for sourcing new stores, relocations, and franchises for your area
- Discuss opportunities for acquisitions with external agents and developers
- Negotiate contracts and leases
- Oversee projects from commencement to launch
- Be responsible for growth of franchise in your area
- Oversee all Funeralcare strategic development work
- Work collaboratively across multiple teams to continuously improve processes
- Make recommendations to senior partners on significant financial decisions
- Experience as an acquisition manager for a retail business
- A valid UK drivers license
- The ability to work on your own and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment

Acquisitions and Development Manager
£62,000 to £76,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Remote working with travel around your area (driving license required) and regular meetings in Manchester Head Office. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy )
We’re looking for an Acquisitions and Development Manager to join our Property team at Co-op. You will be responsible for your geographical area of the country and support with all property acquisitions. Primarily you will work on sourcing new stores, franchise, and Funeralcare sites. You will proactively look for opportunities to add value from the development of our property estate.
