What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze healthcare claims data using fundamental actuarial principles
- Develop, maintain, and analyze projection models to support business decisions
- Reconcile actuarial inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with external actuaries and assist with quarterly revenue reconciliation
- Maintain valuation models for opportunity analysis to identify data-driven insights
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field
- Completion of at least 3 actuarial exams
- 2-4 years of experience in the healthcare industry
- Proficiency in MS Excel for building actuarial models
- Strong familiarity with SQL and experience with Python or R
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of the healthcare and managed care industry
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare analysis
- Familiarity with CMS shared savings programs
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in ambiguity, demonstrating a self-starter attitude
