What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead Title VI and ADA compliance efforts across all disciplines within the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program
- Ensure programs and services are free from discrimination and accessible to all
- Advise and consult with partner agencies regarding compliance and civil rights matters
- Conduct regular reviews and analyze data to identify and address discrimination trends
- Develop and implement community engagement and outreach initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven expertise in civil rights compliance, investigations, or related fields
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of civil rights policies and regulations, including Title VI, EJ, LEP, and ADA
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and personal growth
- Service-oriented mindset to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex civil rights issues and develop solutions
- Certification or demonstrated expertise in civil rights investigation procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in one of the top LEP languages relevant to the program area
