Job Description

- Master’s degree in psychology, or a related discipline
- Teaching in higher education is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Ability Based Education or competency-based education is preferred
- Effectively prepare and deliver on campus classes
- Assess student knowledge in course content and through Mitchell’s Ability Based Education model (rubrics will be provided)
- Use campus-wide Learning Management systems to disseminate course materials to students
- Support student success by holding office hours, using Mitchell email to communicate with students, and communicating with other members of a student’s campus support network
- Standard computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Moodle or other LMS
- Passion for working with unique learners

The Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Mitchell College seeks to hire an adjunct instructor for General Psychology (PY105). The course explores the scientific methods and principles of behavior. It includes areas of physiological psychology, sensation and perception, conditioning and learning, memory, and states of consciousness as major topics for lectures and discussions.
