- Provide high-level administrative support by managing the Deputy Commissioner’s calendar, coordinating meetings and interviews, and arranging travel and reimbursements.
- Prepare and handle sensitive correspondence, including letters to the public, insurance industry, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as the first point of contact for calls and inquiries directed to the Deputy Commissioner and the office, ensuring they are routed appropriately.
- Organize and maintain files and records, including correspondence, reports, and time-sensitive administrative actions.
- Monitor deadlines for appeals and track key office activities to support compliance and accountability.
- Sort and review incoming mail, identifying items needing direct attention from the Deputy Commissioner.
- Maintain payroll and timekeeping responsibilities for the office, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Support office planning and projects, contributing to the implementation of short- and long-term goals.

The ideal candidate possesses the following competencies:

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
This position serves as the special assistant to the Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Consumer Advocacy & Diversity.
