- Collaborating with faculty to create dossier documents
- Supporting faculty development activities for career progression
- Implementing and maintaining online database for faculty activity reporting for accreditation and review purposes
- Developing and implementing templates, timelines and tracking systems for faculty working on reappointment, promotion and tenure
- Organizing faculty meeting and voting procedures for faculty reappointment, promotion and tenure
- Initiating consults for new hires or faculty who will be submitting first-time dossiers
- Developing and providing faculty training on use of online software for faculty activity reporting
- Communicating changes to university policies to faculty and staff while documenting the changes for reference.
- Collaborating with course directors to review and identify needed syllabi corrections to ensure consistency with university policies and college operation procedures.
- Overseeing records and track submission and readiness of syllabi for release to students, staff and faculty.
- Serving as a first point of contact within the Dean’s suite: greeting visitors and guests upon arrival, providing assistance and directing them to the appropriate person or department in a professional manner
- Maintaining office supplies, ensuring stock levels are sufficient and orders are placed timely
- Performing general clerical duties such as meeting scheduling, filing, photocopying, scanning documents, sorting mail/packages and provide A/V support for the Dean’s suite
- Other duties as assigned.

Dentistry | College AdministrationThe Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks an Administrative Assistant to support the faculty’s dossier compilation, an important step in the promotion and tenure processes. This role also supports college course directors to ensure that standardized, uniform course syllabi are produced throughout the college, in accordance with university and college requirements, and provides additional support to the Dean’s office suite.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant for Faculty Affairs, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for:Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, on-site
Targeted pay range is $18.17 - $23.90 and will be based on education and experience.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
Required: High School diploma or GED, plus 1 year of experience in office setting.
Preferred: 2-4 years' experience in office setting.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently; be comfortable communicating with all levels within the College; have competent researching skills and seeking information from faculty and other resources and inputting information into a database management system. Become knowledgeable of university policies and college requirements related to promotion and tenure and course syllabi.
The final candidate must successful complete a background check and alcohol and drug screening.Additional Information:
