- Provides general information for people calling or visiting the parish. Utilizes other churches, social services and/or government directories to provide accurate and helpful information to people.
- Assures incoming and outgoing mail for the parish is handled appropriately. Distributes incoming mail.
- Maintains the key checkout system for the use of parish facilities.
- Assists parishioners requesting Masses, prepares Mass cards and provides information about stipends.
- Opens the office each morning and closes the office each scheduled afternoon.
- Supports Safe Environment Program.
- Manages Coffee and Donuts Ministry.
- Orders supplies such as mass cards, copier needs, and postage machine needs.
- Assembles funeral planning folders.
- Completes administrative duties to support weekday and weekend masses.
- Attends staff meetings and staff retreats and participates with committee members on major staff events.
- Assembles and mails bulletins to homebound parishioners.
- Outside of primary responsibilities, provides clerical assistance to the Pastor, DPA, and other staff as needed.
- Other duties as assigned and within the hours of this position.

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to administer and maintain church office communications between parishioners, visitors and the church office staff by operating the phone system, greeting and referring visitors and callers to the church, preparing and distributing mail. This is a 25 hour per week position.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Willingness and ability to support the mission of the church.
Active member of a parish/faith community and in good standing with the Church.
Desire to grow in personal faith life and enthusiasm for sharing the joy of the Gospel.
2+ years of demonstrated experience in professional reception and administrative work.
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people, including multicultural communities.
Possess emotional intelligence skills and ability to build trust with the pastor, parochial vicar, leadership team, fellow staff members, and parishioners.
Maintains a level of confidentiality and professionalism with regards to work/church related issues.
Parish or Catholic ministry experience a plus.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
