SUNCOAST REGION ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I to REGION OPERATIONS MANAGER
Position will be based out of Bradenton but will be responsible for the cities in Circuit 12.

The incumbent must demonstrate the Department values of integrity, accountability, responsiveness, empowerment, collaboration, innovation, personal responsibility, quality, urgency, and choice. Specific duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:
Works independently assisting management in providing analysis and research on a variety of administrative matters. Work involves assignments which are broad as to objective and content and require independently making decisions and obtaining solutions by operating within well-established policies, laws rules and guidelines;
Receives, reviews, processes, and tracks correspondence, mail and work assignments with the section, ensuring accuracy and timelines of responses. Establishes and maintains records, filing systems and logs. Performs research and special projects for the supervisor.;
Schedules meetings and appointments; makes travel arrangements and prepares travel vouchers;
Schedules and participate in meeting, conferences and related activities;
Operates a personal computer, copier, fax machine, calculator and other peripheral office equipment in the course of assigned duties. Uses a variety of accounting, work-processing, graph presentation and data base software applications;
Prepares purchase requisitions; maintains inventory listing of all OCA items assigned to this office; and orders and checks supplies, resolving discrepancies;
Coordinates telecommunications and network installations and changes with IT for the work unit;
Serves as liaison with other units;
Composes, prepares, edits and distributes a variety of correspondence, reports, forms and other written materials;
Processes and answers inquiries regarding program unit and department functions or operations;
Maintains office equipment in working order through direct contact with contracted vendors;
Assists Region Operations Manager and other Program Office Managers with hiring and other personnel functions;
Processes a variety of routine correspondence, investigates subject matter, reviews records and reports which require action and recommends solutions or courses of action;
Prepares correspondence and documents for signature by the Region Operations Manager;
Receives and screens all telephone calls, referring clients, staff and public to proper offices for assistance for the Region Operations Manager;
Performs special assignments, research and report preparation;
Prepares draft documents, memoranda and general correspondence;
Back up phone coverage for other administrative personnel;
Acts as a liaison with staff, clients, other agencies and the public, and provides timely accurate responses to questions involving interpretations of policy and procedure;
Familiarity and ability to routinely work in such programs such as Smartsheet, WORKS and STMS;
Handles all requests in a timely manner; and
Other duties as requested by the Region Operations Manager.
