• Serve as liaison between the Director and division department heads, giving information as directed by the Director.
• Handle any directives from the Superintendent’s office or Division Executive Director.
• Maintain payroll and budgets for the division.
• Organize and maintain routine office work, and make arrangements related to appointments, conferences, interviews, and travel including work direction of subordinate clerical staff.
• Process routine correspondence and maintain filing system for the office.
• Place and receive telephone calls and recorded messages.
• Maintain a high level of customer service for the department and District.
• Provide feedback to the Director regarding project and needs/concerns of departments.
• Assist the Director in achieving the mission of delivery of services to schools and departments, through coordination and supervision of all aspects of staff departments.
• Comply with District policies and procedures.
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
• All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.• High School Diploma required: pursuing an associate's degree preferred
• 5 years of direct experience in organizational administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Communicates effectively with Principals, Department Heads, District staff and all other Service Center (s) personnel, contractors, and vendors in a professional manner.
• Ability to successfully complete assignments with general supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and prepare accurate and timely correspondence.
• Demonstrated problem solving/investigative skills to research and respond to inquiries.
• Demonstrated organizational, periodization, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
• Strong knowledge of personal computer application, specifically ORACLE System, Microsoft Office Professional, and Internet and keeping current as new programs are implemented at the district level.
• Strong knowledge of the local, state, and federal regulations surrounding emergent bilinguals.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and new work responsibilities.
• Ability to work with people of different styles, temperaments, and preferences.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with district wide personnel.
• Resourceful problem solver. Capable of initiating formative solutions to complex problem.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak Spanish, is a plus.About the company
