      As an Administrative Assistant II in the Risk Management department, the job duties are overseeing the work of all administrative assistants. It also includes supporting adjusters and managers by processing written correspondence, filing, mailing letters as well as handling U.S. mail and interoffice mail. The Administrative assistant must be organized and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They must also be expected to move around frequently and have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. The administrative assistant is also required to have excellent communication and writing skills as well as computer proficiency.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Data Entry in the department system to generate new claims or update information, process incoming checks

      • Creates folders for new claims, filing, and oversees the Archiving process

      • Answers telephone, runs reports, and prepares Agenda reports

      • Copy work, preparing & distributing both US mail and interoffice mail; oversees problems regarding office equipment or other issues

      • Lead Administrative Assistant for all Special projects and assists in all areas of Risk Management. including all projects for Manager/Sr. Manager and Director

      Education and Experience:

      • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

      • A minimum of five (5) years of verifiable paid general business work experience in an administrative/clerical capacity where duties include customer service by phone or in person, data entry, heavy filing, and use of Microsoft Office Software.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Proficient knowledge of computers, office equipment, and related software, including Microsoft Word/Excel/Access/Outlook

      • Customer service-oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills

      • Proficient typing skills - minimum 50-55 wpm with 80% accuracy

      • Strong organizational skills

      • Ability to work well with the public and staff members

      • Monday – Friday | 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

      • 40 hours per week

      • Based on 26 Pay Periods

      • Plus, benefits


      Work Environment and Physical Demands:

      • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods of time

      • Regularly lift at least 25 lbs.
