Responsible for performing administrative oversight and clerical work to include financial accounting, budgeting, and other fiscal support work for the Division of Waste Management in the Department of Public Works. Oversees and provides customer service for the Division. Responsible for supervising administrative staff. High School Diploma, supplemented by courses in secretarial science, and 5 years of experience in administrative or clerical work or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Requires experience with word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably Microsoft Word and Excel.
Customer service experience is desired.Fills in for the Waste Services Manager in their absence.
Supervises administrative staff.
Oversees and/or provides customer service and processes customer service requests. Answers the telephone and greets visitors; receives and responds to numerous inquiries; refers inquiries to appropriate personnel as needed.Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines to include typewriters, computers, calculators, copiers, facsimile machines, etc. Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.About the company
