Job Description

- Assist supervisors and department staff with routine duties
- Answer department phone lines; take messages, transfer calls, as necessary.
- Take meeting minutes and transcribe dictation
- Schedule and coordinate calendar and special events
- Assist converting office form paper to digital database; Scan paper documents into digital databases
- Liaison between students and faculty, answer questions and solve problems when needed
- General administrative duties as assigned by supervisor
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, 1-2 years Administrative/Office experience or Associates Degree or High school diploma with applicable related experience of 2-3 years in an Administrative capacity.
- Excellent interpersonal, computer and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or other Cloud based software.
- Familiarity with organizing virtual meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc.)

New York Institute of Technology's Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking a part-time temporary Administrative Assistant for the Dean’s office. This position will assist with Administrative duties for the Campus Dean, Finance & Community Development office staff and serve as back-up for the Executive Assistant for the Dean and the front lobby receptionist, as needed. Tentative schedule is two ½ days and one full-day per week for a total of 16-20 hours. May be asked to work additional hours to cover for vacancies, when needed.
