ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, TERMINAL MAINTENANCE

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and qualified Administrative Assistant to fill a casual position at Powell River Terminal Maintenance.
This position performs administrative support to the maintenance department including; phone support, scheduling meetings, appointments and conference calls; prepares and distributes minutes; generates, enters and maintains schedule and time collection payroll system data; data entry and reporting using CMMS system (Maximo); assists staff by resolving pay queries and completing other documentation, making travel arrangements; coordinates and manages training requirements; responsible for service procurement by following accounting rules, obtaining quotes, gathering bids, creating purchase requisitions, purchase orders, receiving and managing the lifecycle of all transactions.
In addition to relevant training and experience, you have 3-5 years of Administrative experience in a maintenance or construction office and hold a certificate or diploma in office administration and/or significant experience in a fast paced industrial environment.
Experience using the CMMS system (Maximo) would be considered an asset. Please also note that a valid driver’s licence is required for this position, and occasional travel to other work locations may be required.
