Serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Residential & Day Support Administrator.
Perform routine clerical and administrative support tasks.
File correspondence and other materials by predetermined classification
Develop, edit, and maintain various spreadsheets as required.
Answer the telephone and responds to requests for information as appropriate.
Prepare office supply and safety supply orders.
Assure accurate data is retrievable for future reference, audits, and administrative reviews.
Coordinate hiring/interview processes.
Attend and prepare minutes from meetings.
Schedule and coordinate monthly supervision meetings.
Prepare charts, graphs, and narrative information for reports, presentations, and meetings using computer programs like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Prepare various templates and documents for distribution/publication.

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Developmental Services Division. The preferred candidate will be an excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally, who is responsive, very organized with a high level of computer literacy, and able to analyze data and produce reports. Experience working with electronic healthcare records. Professional experience utilizing Microsoft Office Applications and similar office products is highly desired.
