      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct legal research for taxes administered by the Department of Treasury
      - Draft legal documents such as Rules, Internal Policy Directives, and Technical Advice Letters
      - Provide legal and technical support to various tax divisions and the executive office
      - Assist with litigation support for the Attorney General's staff as required
      - Present at tax conferences throughout the state regarding state taxes

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law
      - Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar
      - Minimum of one year of professional experience in legal work for Administrative Law Specialist 14 or equivalent
      - Minimum of two years of professional experience in legal work for Administrative Law Specialist P15 or equivalent
      - Minimum of three years of professional experience in legal work for Administrative Law Specialist 16 or equivalent

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience analyzing, applying, and interpreting federal or state tax laws
      - Proven experience litigating or supporting litigation
      - Background in drafting legislation or regulations
      - Knowledge of Individual Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, and Sales and Use Tax
      - Certification as a public accountant or accounting degree
