- Administer and take accountability for insurance verification processes and medication prior authorizations.
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Answer phones.
- Greet patients with a positive attitude.
- Ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients.
- Manage tasks in EHR inbox/e-mails.
- Process medication prior authorizations.
- Take and record manual vital signs.
- Administer injections as directed by the physician.
- High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Must have experience with insurance verification process and medication prior authorizations. This is required. No exceptions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a team player!
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times.
- Must be detail-oriented and goal-oriented.
- Must be able to take manual vital signs. Required.
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- CPR certified - BLS.
