What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform detailed histories, physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic studies
- Make medical diagnoses and institute therapy within scope of practice
- Provide guidance on medical care matters to patients and families
- Record and report patient information accurately in EMR
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement processes, and medical education
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate from an accredited PA program OR Nursing Approved Master's or Post Master's program
- 1-3 years of department-specific experience
- CPR Certification
- Current Physician Assistant License OR Current RN license, CRNP license, and Prescriptive Authority
- Motivational interviewing and advance care planning competency
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- ACLS certification
- DEA license
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a high-performing team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
