- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in a complex clinical environment.
- Demonstrated interest in quality improvement, risk management and patient safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff and students.
- At least four postgraduate years and successful completion of a relevant Australasian clinical examination or training program including but not limited to RACP (including chapters and faculties), RANZCP and RACGP.
- Demonstrated interest in addiction medicine, including clinical experience, research or quality activities.

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated medical officer to join the Addiction Medicine team in Drug Health Services.
What you'll be doing
To provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment.
To develop trainee’s expertise and skills in Addiction Medicine, to facilitate delivery of this service to remote health facilities for drug withdrawal and relapse prevention.
Core activities of the position allow completion of the Addiction Medicine Curriculum.
