- Acts as a catalyst of positive change, inspiring and motivating individuals to embrace an agile mindset.
- Mentors, coaches and supports individuals, teams and the organization across mindset, culture, practices and structure towards organizational adaptability and delivery effectiveness.
- Facilitates highly effective events and sessions for the teams and organization as needed, such as reviews, retrospectives, workshops and training.
- Continually builds their knowledge and grows the knowledge of the teams and organization with the latest advancements in agility.
- Partners with agile thought leadership across the organization to solve problems and increase adoption and understanding.
- Supports and enables effective approaches for de-scaling and scaling agility ensuring transparency and reduction of handoffs and dependencies across teams of teams.
- Supports the removal of impediments to increasing agility and effectiveness for the team and the organization.
- Cultivates the health and the effectiveness of teams through qualitative and quantitative measures along key dimensions of culture, practices, mindset and structure, while ensuring appropriate usage of the measures by the teams and the organization.
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
- Expert in agile and lean practices and approaches
- Scrum Master and Team Coaching certifications: PSM 2/3, A-CSM, CSP-SM, ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC, ICE-AC.
- Solid understanding of de-scaling and scaling approaches for agility, such as Team Topologies, Nexus, LeSS, Scrum of Scrums, Scrum at Scale, SAFe.
- Ability to collaborate and influence people at various levels.
- Deep understanding of the core skills of facilitating, coaching, mentoring, training and leading in an agile lean context.
- Several years of software development experience such as leadership, engineering, or testing.
- Several years of Scrum Master and agile team coaching experience.
- Tools: Jira, Jira Align, Lucidspark, Confluence; or similar.
- Financial Services or regulatory industry experience.

As an Agility Lead in Market Risk (Risk Technology) which is aligned to Corporate Technology you will play a significant role as a champion for the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices within our teams. Leveraging your deep knowledge of product development methodologies and Agile principles, use your expert guidance, mentorship, and support to teams to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. As a recognized subject matter expert, put your knowledge to use to work on complex issues, exercise considerable judgment, and make impactful decisions that shape the operational and business direction of your sub-function. Your leadership, communication, and coaching skills will be instrumental in empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and effectively, while continuously adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Market Risk is a product organization at JP Morgan, within the Risk Management Tower of Corporate Technology. The Market Risk group is responsible for calculating and reporting the risk of losses due to movements in market variables like prices and volatility.
We are seeking a Team Coach to join the Market Risk organization, which is currently going through an exciting transformation journey. This is a hands-on role able to effectively lead, inspire and guide about three agile teams in their growth on that journey.
Team Coaches are experienced leaders and change agents to coach and guide teams, individuals, leadership and the organization towards organizational adaptability and effective delivery, while understanding and respecting their context. They are accountable for supporting the transformation strategy of the organization across mindset, culture, structure and practices working with the Senior Agility Leader within Market Risk Technology and the Corporate Technology Agility Office.
Finally, they are accountable for team effectiveness and adoption of agile practices, such as Scrum and Kanban, for their teams and across the organization. Our Team Coaches have several years of software development experience such as leadership, engineering, or testing, and several years of Scrum Master and agile team coaching experience.
