      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Supervise and coordinate the work of Investigator/Analysts and a Victim/Witness Advocate in the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People Cold Case Unit
      - Manage a personal caseload while directing and reviewing casework of the unit
      - Proactively assist law enforcement agencies with cold cases involving Indigenous women and persons
      - Facilitate collaboration and meetings between various law enforcement agencies and stakeholders
      - Utilize a trauma-informed approach to support victims and their families

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Successful completion of the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission's Basic Law Enforcement Academy or an accepted equivalent
      - Bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience as a commissioned law enforcement officer at the rank of detective or higher
      - At least two years of direct supervisory experience over investigators
      - Experience investigating homicides and sexual assaults, with a strong preference for intergovernmental relationship navigation
      - Knowledge of investigative techniques, judicial system operations, and ethical conduct principles

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Direct experience in navigating intergovernmental relationships and understanding Tribal sovereignty
      - Strong skills in report writing and case analysis
      - Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities and deadlines
      - Knowledge of forensic science and investigative resources
      - Experience in building rapport with law enforcement and community stakeholders
