What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct investigations of complex tort claims and suits against state agencies
- Plan and conduct effective interviews while maintaining confidentiality
- Gather and evaluate information from multiple sources to document findings
- Prepare clear reports and maintain logs and documentation of cases
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and present findings in court
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in conducting investigations
- Ability to independently plan and conduct investigations in civil or criminal cases
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills
- Experience in managing multiple cases under time-sensitive conditions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Significant experience conducting complex investigations
- Demonstrated ability to distill critical points from diverse information sources
- Familiarity with Washington tort law
