- Assists the Airport Executive Director with a myriad of daily duties primarily serving as the organization’s Chief Administrative Officer. Broad responsibilities include operational, administrative, and general support tasks including day-to day staff coordination, organizational communications (internal and external) and the oversight of personnel and resources. Assist the Airport Executive Director to drive organizational initiatives.
- Supervises assigned staff by instructing, overseeing, setting production standards, and evaluating the work.
- Assists in the development and enforcement of organizational policies, development of standard operational procedures. This may include research/interpretation, and application of existing rules, regulations, ordinances, statutes, best practices, etc.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement to execute decision making authority consistent with applicable rules, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Relieves the Airport Executive Director of certain tasks allowing the Airport Executive Director to focus on higher level task and strategic pursuits. Advises the Airport Executive Director of important/sensitive issues, and organizational climate.
- Serves as “second in command” and the primary backup responsible for operational decision-making in the absence of the Airport Executive Director.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

Licensing/Certification: Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving history. If State license is other than Georgia or South Carolina, applicant must obtain a license in Georgia or South Carolina within 30 days of employment.
OTHER:
This position requires staff call up in an emergency situation and travel from office to other locations.

Senior level executive position that provides comprehensive assistance to the Airport Executive Director to include operational, administrative, and general support tasks. Responsible for a broad range of duties such as providing professional advice, intellectual capital, and assisting with problem solving, planning and resolving complex issues. Works aggressively to assist in achieving established goals and vision. Manages the Airport’s administrative support, information technology, communications, and customer service functions. Represents and has decision-making authority in the absence of the Airport Executive Director.Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial service Airport experience to include at least 5 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
This position requires: Must pass Criminal History Record Check and Security Threat Assessment.
