      Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC), has an immediate need for an experienced Alternate Communications Security (COMSEC) Local Element (LE) Account Manager to provide management and oversight for COMSEC-related equipment and processes for our Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kit (MECK) team in Norfolk, VA. This position will also entail incident tracking and asset management tasking. Responsibilities include:

      • Assist the COMSEC Manager to ensure strict adherence to national and Department of the Navy COMSEC policies and guidelines, providing training to MECK technicians and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance
      • Assist with the management and distribution of COMSEC resources under StratasCorp’s COMSEC Issuing Account
      • Maintain an inventory of cryptographic material and conduct regular audits and inspections of security protocols
      • Provide oversight of the generation, distribution, and destruction of cryptographic keys. Coordinate key updates and changes in accordance with established security policies. Designate/oversee key custodians within the organization. Coordinate key recovery efforts when needed
      • Assist with addressing potential security violations or incidents. Supervise protective or corrective measures when cybersecurity vulnerabilities are discovered. Coordinate required actions with higher-level COMSEC authorities
      • Track trouble call incidents and coordinate corrective actions for the MECK team
      • Manage all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) assigned to the MECK team

      • Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
      • Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
      • Must have 7 or more years’ experience as a DoD or Navy LE Manager
      • Must have experience with establishing and maintaining LE processes for an issuing account
      • Must have experience with movement of COMSEC materials world-wide
      • Must have experience in conducting regular spot checks, and required audits, within a DoD LE
      • Must have experience with DoD/Government communications regarding status of the LE they manage
      • Should have relevant experience with STE, Key Loaders, SKL, KIV-7, KG-175D
      • Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements
