What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide specialized academic instruction (SAI) for students with disabilities across various grade levels
- Manage a caseload of students, including scheduling and conducting IEP meetings
- Deliver instruction online using the Class Connect Program
- Communicate with students and families through video conferences, phone calls, emails, and instant messaging
- Attend periodic in-person meetings and training sessions throughout the school year
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Permanent California Resident (must currently reside in Amador County)
- Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities
- California English Learner Authorization issued by the CTC
- Must have all required credentials at the time of applying
- Full-time availability from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching in an online or virtual classroom environment
- Strong problem-solving skills related to technology use in education
- Familiarity with various online classroom platforms and tools
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse student populations
- Previous experience managing IEPs and supporting students with disabilities
