What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement and manage ongoing validation efforts for AML models within the AML Model Validation Governance Program
- Ensure validation efforts meet or exceed regulatory expectations on model risk management
- Conduct advanced quantitative assessments and tests to evaluate model performance
- Produce management reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for validation processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative disciplines
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data validation, modeling, and statistics within the financial services industry
- Advanced knowledge of model risk validation principles as defined by regulatory agencies
- Strong analytical, problem resolution, and project management skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Stata, SAS, R, Matlab, or VBA, and advanced knowledge of SQL
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Transaction Monitoring systems such as Norkom, Mantas, or NetReveal
- Ability to develop financial models and convey complex concepts to non-experts
- Strong collaboration skills with team members and stakeholders
