What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Nurse Manager in developing and maintaining daily operations within the surgical unit
- Provide leadership for clinical and administrative functions, acting as a clinical resource for staff
- Plan and implement educational programs for nursing staff
- Promote effective communication among staff and patients, addressing any issues that arise
- Serve as the unit-charge nurse as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid Washington State Registered Nurse License or MSL to practice
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of current surgical nursing experience, including scrub and circulate
- Experience in a charge nurse, leadership, or supervisory role
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a Level I Trauma or verified burn center setting
- Additional certifications in relevant nursing specialties
- Proven track record of quality improvement initiatives in previous roles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
