What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including admitting new patients and participating in daily rounds
- Collaborate with various acute care services for patient management
- Utilize ICU checklists to ensure proper patient care and communication with nursing staff
- Facilitate family meetings and participate in goal of care discussions
- Perform critical procedures such as Central Venous Catheters, Arterial Lines, and Lumbar Punctures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- If ARNP: Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited institution and Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges
- If PA-C: Licensure as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Washington
- National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (for ARNP)
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven skills in patient evaluation and management in a critical care environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Neuro Critical Care or similar high-acuity settings
- Advanced procedural skills relevant to critical care
- Previous involvement in quality improvement initiatives or research projects
- Strong communication skills with a focus on family and patient interactions
