What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with an integrated team of medical directors, physician assistants, and appeals staff
- Conduct individual case reviews for appeals and grievances across various health plan and insurance products
- Communicate with medical directors regarding appeals decision rationales and benefit interpretations
- Participate in team meetings for communication, feedback, and process improvement
- Provide clinical and strategic input for organizational committees and projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA-C) license
- Current Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience
- Proficient in managed care and excellent telephonic communication skills
- Strong project management, data analysis, and presentation skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of Quality Management experience
- Experience with claims coding and review
- Operating Room experience
