What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the State in the preparation of appeals related to FEMA funding decisions
- Review, analyze, and manage appeals submitted by applicants or subrecipients
- Maintain detailed records of each appeal, ensuring compliance with federal standards
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to improve future submissions

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in law, legal studies, or a related field
- Juris Doctor (JD) successfully completed
- Admission to the bar of any State or the District of Columbia within the past five years
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in legal or appeals processes
- Comprehensive understanding of FEMA grant programs and regulations
