What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and program software applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality
- Collaborate with user departments, Information Services staff, and vendors to address application system issues
- Develop specifications and conduct testing, debugging, and documentation of software programs
- Assist in the design and installation of interfaces among systems and maintain existing software
- Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for user personnel on system usage and modifications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of work experience in programming or related technical work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Up-to-date technical knowledge in software applications and systems
- Ability to maintain quality assurance and adhere to safety and environmental policies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional computer-related technical training or certifications
- Experience with project planning and implementation in Information Services
- Familiarity with healthcare applications and systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Participation in quality improvement teams or councils
